Lens Review: Geo Princess Mimi in Apple Green

Hello lovelies~
Today I will be reviewing Tsubasa Masuwaka's Geo Princess Mimi lenses in Apple Green!

Pinky Paradise was having a anniversary special a few weeks ago in which all colors of Tsubasa Masuwaka's Geo Princess Mimi lenses were half off! I couldn't resist~ I've always wanted to see what my eyes look like brown, so I ordered them in Chocolate Brown. When they arrived, I got the Apple Green color instead of the Chocolate Brown color. I wrote an e-mail to Pinky Paradise telling them about the issue, and they replied that they would send the Chocolate Brown lenses right away, so I got to keep the Apple Green pair! This turned out pretty interesting as I got to try a color I wouldn't normally buy.

So anyway... on with the review~!

The basics:

Diameter: 15.0mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Type: 1 year disposal

Photo with both in:

Comfort level:
These lenses are quite comfortable! I wore them for 7 hours straight and only used eye drops once and they hardly bothered me! I found them even more comfortable than the Geo Nudy lenses, which is odd because these have a larger diameter.

Color:
The color is wonderful! My natural blue color was covered by the green, and the lenses blended well even with the small brownish ring near the center of the lenses.

Enlarging effect:
The limbal ring is large and dark, so it definitely makes my eyes look bigger. The lenses have a diameter of 15.0mm so they're fairly large.

Overall:
I love these lenses! They're very wearable and definitely have a nice enlarging effect. I never knew green eyes would look so good on me. I rate these lenses a 5/5~!

Here's a full photo of me with them on~

And as a bonus, here's an image of the Popteen April 2012 cover with Tsubasa Masuwaka wearing these lenses in Apple Green!

New Phone + Instagram

I got a new cell phone recently~ My previous cell phone (a Mytouch 3g) had been acting up for months, often refusing to charge. So I finally decided to get a new phone.

I got a LG Optimus Black in white (I love white phones, my last one was white too). So far I love it! It's got a larger screen than my last one, but not zomg huge so it can still fit nicely in my pocket. It's a lot thinner and lightweight too, and it has a front facing camera. My old phone was also super sluggish but this phone is nearly twice as fast!

I also ordered a case for it, hopefully it'll come soon. It's a case made by South Korean company Dstory. It features a cute kitty face~

My new phone has a decent camera, so I've been using Instagram for the first time! Here's snapshots I've taken so far, including my pets~!

The next entry should be coming soon, it's a review for more circle lenses

Geo Nudy Blue Review

Hi everyone~
It's been such a long time since I posted I've been working hard, busy with life, trips, etc.! I still have to post about my big weekend in late April at ACen and in Chicago, but I haven't gotten all the pictures for that post ready yet, so it'll have to wait.

Anyway! About 2 weeks ago I ordered some contacts from Pinky Paradise. I ordered Tsubasa Masuwaka's Geo Princess Mimi lenses in Chocolate Brown as well as Geo Nudy lenses in blue. This post is for a review on the Geo Nudy lenses~

I have blue eyes so I wanted some blue lenses that would enlarge my irises but still look natural and wearable for everyday life, so I chose Geo Nudy in blue. They have a water content of 38%, a diameter of 14.0mm, base curve of 8.6mm, and they are 1 year disposal lenses. I purchased both of my lenses without correction since I don't wear glasses or daily wear lenses for vision purposes.

These are my first contact lenses ever! It took me awhile to get the first lens in, and a little less time for the second lens. I put one in today for a photo with one lens in and none in the other eye, and it still takes me a bit of time to put them in. No issue with the lenses, I'm just a noob at putting them in. Once in they feel a bit odd and maybe even slightly painful, but that quickly disappears and it feels like I don't even have anything in my eye. Occasionally I'll remember it's there and feel it though. I'd say that these are fairly comfortable lenses!

The enlarging effect is noticable but subtle, and the color blends in very nicely with my naturally light blue eyes. The color on the lenses is a translucent blue. Here's a photo with natural lighting with one lens in my eye and the other eye with no lens for comparison:

And the following photo is with fluorescent lighting and both lenses in along with more make up plus lashes,  haha~

And some cam-whoring lol.
Alpaca! :D

Over all I like these lenses a lot for the natural effect and they match my eyes well.

Birthday dinner, Lacura night cream review

OK, as you guys may well know, I just turned 22 on March 20th. I don't feel much older, haha. I worked on my birthday, so I celebrated on a different day. I celebrated one day with my family, and one with my friends. My friends and I just hung out at ordered pizza, and had cupcakes. We also played Disney Scene-It because we're so cool. I lost

I went out to dinner with my family at this amazing Asian buffet. There were so many different kinds of food Time for food spam, haha~

My aunt's plate.
My plate, they even had all you can eat sushi, so I got some veggie sushi and tofu sushi.

Went again a few days later and got these awesome red bean paste dumplings. I love bean paste~

The interior of the place is really nice~!

After eating out, I went to an Aldi next store. I was just there to pick up some fruit since they were having a sale (got a giant cantelope for 99 cents!! ) . I ran into their brand of skin care products, and they have a line called 'Lacura'. Lacura has a night cream with retinol and Q10 in it, and it was only $3.99 I bought it thinking 'what the heck' but also though it might be no good or filled with cheap ingredients that don't work. I looked online and it has such good reviews! Apparently it beat 2000 products in blind tests, including top brands and expensive products. Just Google "Lacura Night Cream Reviews"!

Another great thing about this cream- I've been using it for probably 5 nights now and my skin hasn't broken out at all. This is very good because I've got super acne prone skin. My skin also feels soooo soft afterwards, and the scent of this cream is very springy. To be honest, the scent reminds me of daffodils, lol. I love this stuff. And at $3.99 a bottle, how can you go wrong? This cream definitely gets my seal of approval.

Official description:

It's easily absorbed, helping slow skin aging, correct lines and wrinkles and protect against aging environmental factors for long-lasting regenerative effects and smooth, supple skin."

Nice Weather

I'll start this off with... "omg, the weather has been SO nice!" It's been in the upper 60s to 80F degrees for the past half a week or so, and looking at the forecast, it seems like it will continue to be wonderful! Because of the pleasant weather, I went out and took some pics of my newer ball jointed doll, Cerelia (a Bobobie March). Here's a couple of the pictures:

I also recently purchased some face care products, both involving foam~! One is Acne Free's Oil-Free All-Day Acne Control Leave on Foam.

Product description:

"Acne Free Clear Skin Treatments Oil Free All-Day Acne Control, contains 5% Continuous Release Micro-Benzoyl Peroxide Leave on Foam. Shine Control 12 hour clearing. Non Sticky. Fast absorbing. Kills 99% of acne bacteria on contact and keeps working for up to 12 hours."

It's nice because it features a pump and the product comes out as a foam! It also has 5% micro benzoyl peroxide. Regular bp tends to feel kind of grainy, but this goes on very nicely and smoothly, so it doesn't make my makeup look funny. 5 stars~!

The other product is Noxema's Clean Blemish Control Foaming Wash
Product description:

"Clean Blemish Control Foaming Wash, created specially for Adult skin, deep cleans to help treat and prevent blemishes while restoring skin's moisture balance.  Skin is left beautifully clear and feeling moisturized."

I love this foaming wash so far! The smell is sweet, almost like something berry-ish? This wash is excellent at removing my makeup, so many other ones I've tried have left some makeup residue on my face. This one also leaves my face feeling moisturized. I also like how this wash is formulated for adults with blemishes/acne. 5 stars, I love this cleanser.

So far I have been using both products for about a week, and my face looks a lot smoother and I seem to be having less breakouts.

I'll leave some photos here of my past week or two~ (which has been very busy and tiresome, lol.)

Mm, OFK's strawbery aloe drink. Served up in a retro Care Bear glass (seriously, it's from the 80s pizza hut promo, my aunt gave this glass to me~!) I've also been drinking the peach and mango varieties~ Aloe drink =
Hibachi chicken with steamed rice and veggies from a local Japanese restaurant~

Spur of the moment nail polish.

Chocolate horn/coronet I got on the left, and a cannoli (I think?) that my dad got at the local international market. The coronet was sooooo good.

Anyway, that's it for this post. Now I should go shower and possibly take a walk while it's so beautiful out~! (My birthday is tomorrow, too! )
